Memorial Hall

The War Memorial Hall in Gilberdyke was opened in January 1924, and today is a bustling centre of activity for the village.

It provides facilities for a wide range of community interests, including sports, education, general interest, physical fitness, and social groups.

It is well equipped for community events, having a large main hall with its own dance floor, stage, sound system, full service bar, plus an adjacent small hall, combined with a good sized kitchen, a playing field, childrens' play area - and free parking.

The Hall is registered charity 525023, and is managed by a small but dedicated group of volunteer trustees.

All of its income comes from user groups, hall rentals, events hosted by the Hall, public donations, and occassional grants for major maintenance work.
