Newport & Gilberdyke Youth Project

Newport and Gilberdyke Parish Councils work together to fund and support this very successful Youth Project, meetings are held in both villages on alternate weeks and provide specific activities for school year groups 5-6 (5:30-6:30pm) year groups 7-8 (6:30-7:30pm) and year groups 9-11 (7:30-8:30pm).

Sports Ground - Football, cricket and bowls run by the Gilberdyke and District Leisure Association (GDLA).

Angling ponds - Gilberdyke has its own Jubilee pond situated near the railway station, off Station Road

Bus Services - Regular buses connect Gilberdyke to local villages, Hull and Goole

Cemetery - Newport and Eastrington are joining burial grounds with Gilberdyke. Contact the Parish Clerk for more details.

Recycling Centre - Glass bottle recycling is available at the Memorial Hall. Money raised from its collection is used for the Memorial Hall Charity.
